At the water fountains Brenden likes to watch to see where the water goes. Such a curious little guy. It is a surprise when the water comes back and hits him in the face. :) He laughs.

I really thought that they were suppose to be able to say "I do it" before they started to take over!!

Brenden has been picking up and eating foods for a long long time, but I can never get him to pick up and eat veggies (go figure) So in an effort to grow a healthy boy I still try to feed him some Gerber vegetables, but offer the real thing.

Now....he wants to take over.....

He is also learning his body parts. I can say "where is Brenden's head" ...and he pats his head. "where is Brenden's belly"...

He is so funny about knowing things around the house. All I have to say is "Let's go to Brenden's room" and off he goes!!! It really is amazing to watch him grow and learn so much!!

I think that I am realizing that I do not have a "baby" anymore. It is sad :( But having that little man run up to me and give me a big hug...priceless!!!!!

June 25, 2010 Brenden Turned 1

For Brenden's birthday Lee and I decided to take him on a trip to the zoo!! We woke up early to get on the road (dad's idea....we were at the zoo 45 minutes before it opened) This is when he first woke up the morning of his birthday :)

Smith Family Visit

This weekend Lee's parents came to visit! We had a great time with them, and they really enjoyed spending time with Brenden. They learned that our little man is no longer Mr. Cuddles, he is on the go!! He is in a constant state of movement, unless he is tired. We get a few cuddles out of him then. I thought that it was cool that he started walking at 10 months....it is fun but exhausting :)

Friday night we hung out as a family and went to dinner. Then Saturday Marge, Brenden, and I went to a few garage sales and then relaxed for a while. Saturday evening we had our friends over for a little crawfish and shrimp! It was fun to spend time with everyone!

It was sad to watch them go after, and Brenden went to their room to look around..like he was looking for them.
