7 hours of sleeping bliss!!!

My little buddy slept for a whole 7 hours last night!!! He went to bed at 9:30 and woke up at 4:30! I was so happy and I hope that this is a new thing for him and not just an accident :)

2 months old and head strong :)

I can not believe that he is 2 months already! I really believe it when people say that time flies! He is sleeping better now. He will go to bed around 10 and wake up sometime between 2 and 3. Then go back to sleep until somewhere between 5-6! It is getting better every night!

He is making fun sounds now other than just cries and grunts. To bad I can never get them on video, and he is also getting really good at holding his head up. The craziest thing to me is how active he is. He is always moving his arms and legs, and he pushes to move himself with his legs on the floor or in his crib when he is on his tummy!

His 2 month appointment told us that he is 12 pounds 6 ounces and 22.25 inches long. Poor guy still short and chubby, but not bad for a kid that was born 2 weeks early!

Still can't decide who he looks like...let us know your opinion!

I should have taken this earlier. By the time that I got the camera he was already getting tired...but you can still see him in action for a second.

7 weeks old and a day with daddy (o my)

Brenden is 7 weeks today!! I can not believe that this time 7 weeks ago he was only 3 hours old!! Time has gone so fast and I can not decide if that is a good thing or a bad thing. He is changing and learning new things every day! He has so many cute faces that he is making now and he is able to really hold his head up during tummy time and when he is in your arms...and I love having him in my arms. I know that I am going to spoil him but I can not help it. I just love the way that he smells, watching his facial expressions, and the way that he holds on to me.

Today was also a special day because it was his first full day with Daddy. I had to go to work today and Lee took off to stay home with him. I think that the day was good and fun for both of them. Lee seemed to enjoy it! He is a really good dad :)

Our Life So Far

Lee and I have been married for 3 1/2 years now! Lots of things can happen in this very short period of time. We bought our first home in McKinney, Texas in February of 2007 and love the area. We get sad that we have no family here, but our friends are becoming just as close! Not long after that we got our wonderful little girl....a puppy named Maggie! She is a fun and is very spoiled. Until recently she was the most spoiled thing in the house, but I think that the newest addition now wins that! We had our first kiddo on June 25, 2009! Brenden Louis Smith weighed in at 8 pounds and 4 ounces and was 19 inches long. We are loving every minute of being parents! I will keep everyone updated on the things that are happening!
